The American Bison was designated as the national mammal of the United States in 2016. Alina had the honor of designing the official seal to commemorate the historic event, recognized by the White House and distributed across the country.

To celebrate the first independence day with a national mammal, the Wildlife Conservation Society put together special programing at the Bronx and Queens zoos, which both exhibit Bison. Alina designed a special geofilter for Snapchat for zoo-goers, as well as a commemorative T-shirt, button pins, and educational activities, such as a color-your-own national emblem page.
